To be Presbyterian in Punxsutawney means that you have seen your fair share of change.

What began as a small gathering in the home of the Reverend David Barclay, founder of Punxsutawney, the Presbyterian Church of Punxsutawney as we know it today has worshiped in six different sanctuaries, been known by six different names, and gone through leaving and then later rejoining the Presbyterian denomination as we know it today. Thankfully the roller coaster of Presbyterian life here in Punxsutawney came to an end in December of 1921 when the final two Presbyterian congregations joined together and erected the sanctuary that we worship in today.

Since 1921, the Presbyterian Church of Punxsutawney has been led by eight Pastors. With an average length of service of close to ten years, including one pastor who served this congregation for nineteen, the Presbyterian Church of Punxsutawney has had a consistent presence in Punxsutawney and we look forward to challenges and celebrations of the next hundred years.
